The European Board for Media Services (the Media Board) is launching a call for expressions of interest from stakeholders willing to support the work of the Board through the consultation mechanism, as set out in the European Media Freedom Act.
The objective of this call is to establish a diverse group of stakeholders having expertise in media sub-sectors who can contribute with their insights, data, and perspectives, in situations when the Board is considering matters beyond the audiovisual media sector.
As stated by Carlos Aguilar, the Chair of the Media Board: “the consultation mechanism would be a key tool to support the European Media Board in its mission of overseeing the practical application of the European Media Freedom Act. We hope to establish a diverse and geographically balanced group of entities that would inject their expertise and national and European perspectives, in particular into those challenging cases that reach beyond the audiovisual sector.”
The European Media Services Board invites all interested entities to submit their applications, following the steps outlined in the call for expressions of interest document (available here) until 30.09.2025 (noon).
